A very nice person called me from Church HQ in Salt Lake City and informed me that the footings that sunk into the ground were only TEMPORARY, and that they were going to be replaced anyway, so I should not worry.
Lets ponder this for 5 minutes.
- If they had not sunk into the ground immediately then why install the concrete wall panels then remove them to install the permanent footings?
- A very unorthodox building method.
- What is the purpose of building temporary footings and foundations?
- Is this a clear example of the disconnect between what is happening on the ground in New Zealand and the story sent to Salt Lake City?
